Somebody please appreciate the driving skills and situational awareness of the lockjaw's driver. Simply brilliant.

Yeti won on a unanimous judge's decision and went through to the round of 32. However, Lock-Jaw was awarded one of the eight wild cards and thus also went through as the 17th seed, the highest ranked wild card. This put Lock-Jaw back to the main competition, where it faced the No. 16 seed Brutus.

"Sparks flying everywhere, it's like we're re-heating something in the microwave"
If your microwave causes sparks to fly everywhere, you should probably get a new one.

I totally get why the fights are scored with focus towards the primary weapon (it's understandable logic, if your bot does more damage you should win), but it gets annoying when they consider a malfunction to be caused damage by a primary weapon. There's been so many fights like this one where the primary weapon is lost but then the driver pulls a rabbit out of his hat, shows master class driving and control, dominates for two and a half minutes with the box hazards, but the malfunctioning bot is still given the L when the other bot didn't do any real damage.

It just makes it seem like when a bot malfunctions in the slightest they might as well get counted out because as long as the other bot makes just one or two sparks fly they're going to be immediately given the win and there's no chance for an amazing comeback, and a breathtaking comeback is how this fight should have been scored.

Lockjaw using the arena hazards as a strategy actual worked out super well, mad respects to the driver

The environmental hazards are completely USELESS. With the exception of the flamethrower, they never seem to deal any damage.

lockjaw is almost the perfect counter for a drum spinner. If it had been working better, it would have taken this easy.

The robots are going to punish us for this one day.

Some of the best driving out of Lockjaw... Despite the damage Yeti did, Lockjaw should've won this just because of the sheer amount of control he had. Good that he got the wildcard.

Seeing Adam happy in the jury is just as nice as the action.

Favorite fight out of the two episodes! Donald Hudson is always one of my favorite robot builders and before this fight I had memories of Diesector vs. Dreadnought where he had his jaw in between Dreadnought's blades. Even though Yeti did get the win I would have given it to Lockjaw, seeing how he came back early on and was aggressive the rest of the fight that Yeti couldn't do much.
