Yeah this is what it’s like to be a black Muslim I remember I was at school and it was Ramadan and we went to this room because we couldn’t eat and everybody was looking at me

I have actually been asked did I need money because I was over come with emotion after Jumah prayer. I was going through many family related issues. Not one sister asked me was I okay. But when I finally got up to leave there was one sister that asked did I need money or something? I was like no! I couldn’t believe how loving all the sisters seemed to be towards each other but had no human kindness for me while I was visually upset. I have been in many masjids and it’s the same situation if you are black the majority will make sure you feel un welcomed. It’s very sad. I thank Allah that I met a beautiful sister in the same masjid after attending for an entire year and we are very close and our families are close. She is from Jordan and could care less about my color. When she introduces me to her friends they are shocked that I’m black. She holds on to me like a real sister and I’m so grateful to have met her and her entire family that lives in Jordan. For all the black Muslims that have been ignored, looked over or even told where the nearest “ black “ masjid is. Don’t let anyone take your beliefs away from you. You are protected by Allah and any true Muslim knows darn well that these behaviors are not apart of Islam. Islam is perfect people are not.

A lot of the Africans forced into slavery were our Muslim brothers and sisters, So the black Americans have ties to Islam, and there are millions of Muslims all around Africa!
