I’m barely in on the video and I just have to comment. The way you speak and how you convey everything is so refreshing. Thanks for being just a normal easy to listen to YT creator in a world full of bozos!

Thanks for the nod to the GOAT, EVH. Very nice to the point overview. This thing is insanely easy to use and sounds stellar as does your playing skills. I signed up for your captures too. lickin my chops for the Jose mod Marshall and vibroverb captures. I played a 64 verb few years back and WOW! The great SRV also owned and used a 64 verb for recording. Looks like a delay in US shipping for few more weeks. BUMMER!!.

You're my kind of nerd, subscribed. Would love to see some more tips on setting up presets and scenes for live use.

Frankly you should always have more (solid state) amp power than speaker capacity as it's amp distortion that will blow your speakers. Awesome demo, thanks!

I'm using two line 6 powercabs 112. The speaker modeling is better than the cab modeling or irs in modelers. I don't have to use any cab blocks in the modelers and it sounds great. I have to keep the powercabs at a little less than half volume for gigs. I wish i could turn it up more. I have a QC on order but I'm getting impatient because I'm playing alot and might get the full Helix instead. I really like the scribble strips. I want to see which button does what. I never thought i would go digital but after gigging with an HX Stomp (borrowed) i am sold. Sounds great and i have musician friends that are against modeling and they came and saw me and said " wow it sounds great" they also said " i hate that you're using that digital s***. I was also an amp snob. I saw a couple good guitar players using modelers and it sounded soo frikin good, i had to try one. I a/b with my amps at home. I like both about the same but the modeler is so much more versatile. Actually i get better lead tones out of the modeler.

I will definitely be getting your captured once they get a pay system set up. While you found a work around I do hope they add a preamp or two in the amp section. I suppose one could be captured as well. I also hope the Worship Tutorial guys make a few presets. I know they should get theirs real soon and will have it before mine comes from Sweetwater. Of course if the pay system is not up I will have to spend time to make my own. I am perfectly capable, I have made a bunch for the Helix, but I tend to do things at my pace. I am overly picky. Lol. The Tom Scholz of patch making.

Great stuff! Now it's just a matter of actually laying hands on a QC, which has been on order since the end of June. Yargh.

Hey, Doug! Just joined (admittedly been lurking for a long time), and have been a QC user almost 2 years - still learning how dial things in! So many rabbit holes. After watching this and trying to find something in YouTube that addresses it unsuccessfully), I thought maybe you could help…
I’d like to know best practices for setting up a dual amp set up and blending them - similar to what Dean DeLeo does with a Vox AC30 and another amp run with light and heavy overdrives/distortion in the QC.

I hope to hear from you on this!

Well done video-But without any Marshall/Soldano stack-could the QC be used thru a Bose PA system-the whole point is to "Not" purchase a stack of amps and then add a pedal board-Have some friends that are saying this is an impractical use for the QC?

So-How do you play live with the QC without the use of any physical cabinets/heads? I want to go direct from the QC into a Bose L1 system- Pros & Cons for this setup if anyone could comment. Thank you.

Excellent walkthrough Doug! I'm anxiously waiting for my QC (Tier 2 preorder) so every little bit of info I can get before it gets here is valuable. I've got an early 1990's Marshall JCM 900 Lead 1936 2x12 Cabinet with (I think) G12T-75 speakers that I've never really been in love with. Do you think it would be worth it to replace those speakers with either F12M-150 or F12-X200 speakers to create an FRFR cab for use with the QC and some kind of power amp or would I be throwing good money after bad? Looking forward to your Celestion videos. Thanks!
