I was at the UK leg of this tour, 18 years old, young, dumb and....well you know the rest. Tesla were a truly great opener, really f@#*n' loud, I think that's when I got the tinnitus! Maybe it was Manowar...or Motorhead. Anyway, Def Leppard just had this crazy, magical escape velocity, musicianship and performance that outshone everyone I'd ever seen to that point. I've seen some truly great bands from all different genres since then but this concert was a genuine high point in my life that stays with me to this day.

I saw the first leg and second leg here in Atlanta at the Omni. They were filming for this live tape both times. Queensryche was the first opening act, Operation Mindcrime tour, and Tesla was second. I feel so lucky to have seen Steve played before his passing.

so awesome back in the day when people used to actually get into the shows, instead of standing there holding their phones up like they do now..

Saw them at Dayton Hara Arena, October 20, 1987. One of my clearest memories about this show was how I thought it would be awesome if they opened with Stagefright. When they did, I concluded I was a genius. Life has since beaten me down on this point, but it was awesome in the moment! (Also, I missed the entire opening act by a new band, Tesla, by standing in line for a T-shirt. Genius).

"Stagefright" I got to ask yourself One question. Do I feel lucky? well Do you punk?-Clint Eastwood. I said Welcome to my show!!! Joe's voice was heavy up to the lines to sing. I liked the opening of this concert & it was one of the best concerts that I seen. It was loud and crowds going nuts all over place. It felt like Imax movie experience. Keep on rocking and rolling...

There’s a reason why these guys sold as much as they did in the 80s and are still playing big shows today. It’s because they we’re and still are amazing live. It may not be the same without Steve and Pete Willis in the group but come on. They sound amazing and you still get to see the greatest one armed drummer in the world work his magic on his Simmons kit.

Great opening. Glad I found this. It is just like I remembered it when I saw it live in Philly. I saw them on both legs of the tour. The first time around the place was half empty. Pour Some Sugar On Me hadn’t hit yet. When they came back a few months later it was sold out. Queensryche opened the show. It was their Mindcrime Tour.
