Many prayers to this mama. I'm experiencing this situation too and it's hard.

so sick of feeling sad not my son's first time in jail, no idea if he will get out of jail or go to prison. He is 46 this has been going on off and on since he was 21. He grew up in prison. How can he ever have a normal life? How can I ever feel anything but sad this is happening again. He has so many problems. Drug treatment is what he needs. I can relate to this ladies story. how she felt. How family stops getting together. How hard it was for me to see my nieces and nephews doing so well, even if I was proud of them, Why not my son?

Imagine how disrupting it would be to your own family if suddenly one of your adult children had to go to prison. It’s punishment for the whole family, not just the individual.

Just tear my heart out and cut it up into tiny pieces.

It’s so hard to have someone in prison. It’s a mourning that continues perpetually. I pray everyday that my brother is released so our family can be together. Our boys in this country are in crises!

Please please do not criminalize mothers or families of incarcerated and lump them all together. The pain is unimaginable. This is about her, not her son. Every one matters and no one is trash to throw away. If you don’t know about the subject well enough, don’t speak.

I have only 1 child. A son. I can't imagine how hard this is for her. She is living my biggest fear. These fathers in the system are leaving a huge gap in the communities. I love these people getting together to help bail out people who can't make bail. No one should be in jail just because they live in poverty. I wish I was wealthy because I would do the exact thing. I send this mother love and light. Her burden is a heavy load. 😔

I’m glad people are realizing when courts give out sentences, families serve them with the convict

People! The point is, the mother didn’t commit a crime. It is simply showing the pain of a mother on her side, a glimpse. Don’t criminalize the families surrounding incarceration.

Those prisons are too rich. Vacuuming up poor people and turning them into dollars.

Ppl always assume they deserve prison but they never look at how unfair and arbitrary the sentences are.
My son went to prison at just 17 for not stealing a car. he thought about it but never touched it and a judge gave him 5 yrs when the DA wanted 3 months at a police boot camp. he had no father of any worth. according to the DA texas had too many blacks locked up so needed a white balance. A non violent kid being honest lost his life. Parole is a slave wish list..they send you back for years bc late on monthly payment you must pay to be free or no job go back to prison. is at the whim of parole officers who some are sycophant.
America is the cruellest democracy in the world. My son saw same pedophile serve 3 months and free and back again before he was free to leave..Monster country, no humanity
