In all my years in newborn care and the NICU I was continually impressed with the desire, the effort of both mothers and fathers to be the best parents they could be. Not all knew what a good parent looked like, or had the resources internally to carry out their desire nor the ability to overcome the obstacles in their life, but every single one wanted to be the best they could be. It is who we are as humans, mammals, living creatures.

I am the mother of my twin daughters teenagers now and yes worried all the time ...It is like your heart walking outside your body ..They are so amazing and I am so proud of them. I had a super wonderful mom as well, miss her everyday .She died way too young in her 50"s.
