Why I Downgraded My iPhone

I am not saying that the iPhone SE is a terrible phone, but it is much less enjoyable to use, and my conscience decision to not use my phone as much as I have in the past has made me use my iPhone much less.

Digital Minimalism is the goal. Delete your apps, and sell your phones.

In a future video I will be switching to a flip phone to see how that effects my life. If you have any suggestions that you want me to try please leave them in the comments section.

I feel like social media is cancerous, but I’m definitely going to keep using my phone when I’m bored. YouTube, games, Reddit... it’s what I enjoy. One thing I need to get over, however, is always having the latest and greatest. And that is why I would downgrade. Not to discourage use, but to get used to not always having to have the best.

A couple of YouTubers have said the galaxy fold has made them use their phones less. That extra step of having to open it in order to use it perturbs mindless browsing. It’s use, they say, becomes much more purposeful. I think it’s a great way to combat phone addiction without having to downgrade the technology

Love the video man. I downgraded my iPhone 6s Plus to a 5s for the same reason two years ago. I’m rockin a 6s now and have just essential apps on it. Less is more.

Also, I too wanted to switch to a flip phone or an old-style qwerty keyboard phone, but i didn't and rather can't. The main reason being 2 particular things: maps and uber cabs/eats. These three things might be the most important things whenever you go out or at home also.
