MGS 5: GROUND ZEROES DETAILS "LEAKED" (Escapist News Now)

Even though it was previously announced that the prologue to Phantom Pain would include exclusive DLC, Konami has now stated this DLC will only be available in the retail version of the game and for a limited period of time in the digital version. The DLC will give players additional resources for a Mother Base once Phantom Pain is released. You'll find out more about the Mother Base in Ground Zeroes.

Plus anyone that buy Ground Zeroes will be able to unlock exclusive content that carries over to Phantom Pain including rescued VIPs and Prisoners of War and character skins. These will give you an early advantage in-game.

There will also be an iDROID app that replicates Big Boss's in-game communications device. You can play it via Xbox Smart Glass or on your iOS or Android devices for free. You'll be able to summon air support, look at maps, or play any of the cassette tapes found in Camp Omega.

Previously at $39.99, Ground Zeroes will now be $29.99 for Xbox One and PS4 and the retail version of 360 and PS3. But you can get a digital version on the PS3 or 360 for $19.99 starting March 18th.

I remember getting the extremely short metal gear solid 2 demo with Zone of the Enders, all I played was the demo for about a month before I even tried Z.O.T.E. So I know a 2 hour story means an actual lot of playing for me. Cant wait.

Credit where it's due, nice going on the price drop, however, it's still too high to warrant a 2 hour game. 15 dollars for the digital copy and 20 - 25 dollars for the retail copy and you have a deal. I love Metal Gear Solid, but not enough to pay more than 15 - 20 for a mere two hours of content, regardless if it's rushed or not. What would make sense is to include Ground Zeroes into Phantom Pain, like they did the Tanker mission in MGS 2. I'd happily pay full retail in that case.

I bought the DLC of The Last of Us for 15€ and it's short too, but it totally worth it. And Ground Zeroes doesn't only have the main story, but several side ops.

Great. Now we are paying for parts of the game. Considering we need to pay 29.99 for prologue, 39.99 for the main game, is the ending going to cost us too? I mean why not. We already have to pay for prologue so people who bought ground zero definitely won't mind. And it's not going to be the first time when gamers have to pay for the ending anyway, so Konami won't loose anything ether way.

I have a question. Say you decide to play Ground Zeroes on your PS3 because you haven't bought a PS4 yet. But by the time The Phantom Pain comes out you would have bought a PS4 and want to play it on that system. Would there be any way to transfer the bonus content you get by playing Ground Zeroes even if you've played it on a different system?

Does she realise that the main story only adds up to about of 11% of the entire game! Besides I'd rather have a memorable 2 hours than a forgettable 8 hour campaign!
