I came back to appreciate this song again 😁that orchestral accompaniment (violin/cello with piano melodic lines at 0:07 plus the horn at 1:14) would be considered experimental for that time in 2014. The drum pattern added an “Afrobeat” identity especially Yoruba talking drum at 2:06 and that highlife guitar (possibly syncopated) melody at 2:11 towards the end sealed the deal. I wish the guitar line wasn’t left toward the end. The songs on this Simisola album sound basic for 2022, but are sonically ahead of 2014!
