"invisible touch" background talking about Genesis is like a fart in a church 🤦🏼‍♂️

Please correct me if I'm wrong but Van Der Graff Generator deserves to b on this list.

The Moody Blues should be included. And Focus, Renaissance and Strawbs would be close to the top 10.

Please don't put ELP at the 9th place 😭🙏 they need to be at least in top 5

Yes, Genesis and King Crimson had so many different incarnations that they could be rated individually.

Where are the Moody Blues.? Incomplete list without them. They sold over 70 million records as of early 2000. They used an orchestra in 1967 throughout their first album that was an early concept album. They used the mellotron and were said to have introduced it to the Beatles. They had a flautist regularly doing solos before Jethro Tull. They constantly are forgotten because they spend less time marketing. They are an amazing one of a kind progressive rock band that is snubbed again.

it's unfortunate that, of all Yes's amazing songs, you chose as the backdrop their LEAST progressive song.. a piece of pop drivel...

Genesis is number one for me. Yes, Crimson, and Gentle Giant are the other big guns in the genre.
HOT TAKE #1: Pink Floyd is not a Prog band in the same sense that Led Zeppelin or Steely Dan were not Prog bands. Floyd were a super creative group in a super creative musical era, that doesn't make them Prog.
HOT TAKE #2: Rush is not Prog. I love Rush to death but they are a hard rock group that was heavily influenced by Prog, that doesn't make them Prog. Rush were too simplistic to really be Prog, but they were obviously Prog-influenced.

Doesn’t matter which bands are in the list, ranking them like if one was better than other is bullshit.
