1946 Movie Trailer | A Response

1946 is said to be a movie which will explore how the single mistranslation of a word in the RSV ignited the anti-plus sentiment in conservative Evangelicalism. In this video, I examine and analyze some of the assertions made in one of the trailers.

I hear so many people saying the Jews in Israel aren’t the true Jews from the 13 tribes . Or that they lost their covenant because they rejected the Messiah! I believe the scriptures in Genesis 12:3 and support Israel, as they are such a small country with so many hostile enemies surrounding them!

What I find interesting in your video is that you fail to cite any sources you use to critique the documentary trailer. Which this is problematic in itself because a trailer is only meant to get an idea across, not prove a point. If you want to see the arguments, which may address your critiques, then you have to watch the documentary. You also claim what translations were supposed to be without providing resources about those discussions

You are right about the one group not being the end all be all to what is stated in the bible, many denominations solely read one version. However, you do minimize how a sizable group can slowly influence the culture as a whole. A documented example of this from the civil war in the US is the use of the bible to justify slavery. In modern times you don't see people justifying slavery with the bible, some translations going as far as removing the word and using alternatives like "servant"

I don't understand why the main argument is about the original definition of *A* word. Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13, and Romans 1:26-27 doesn't even use the word. Instead, they each *spell* *out* the issue.
It's like if there was a commandment against eating pizza, they could argue what the word "pizza" really meant and what it meant to the people during the time the text was written. But then comes three passages that says, "You shall not eat bread that has been flatten, that has sauce made from tomatoes, with cheese and/or other toppings." You'd have to be creative to justify that.

I will say that I was encouraged to find out about the group called "Changed Movement", #once gay. These believers have been set free from the desires that haunted them. I hated the idea that there were believers who were burdened with this thing for the rest of their life with no relief, no companionship. But as mentioned in the video linked below, most have married someone of the opposite sex and experience no same sex desires anymore! Thank you, LORD!!!! You are so good!
Some say these people have been brainwashed. I would agree. You might say they have had their mind renewed by the washing of water by the word lol (Romans 12:2, Ephesians 5:26). Yay Jesus!

The plain things are the main things. Ifin ya dont believe that all scripture is inspired by The Holy Spirit ya might not be yielding yourself as a "so called Christian" to said Holy Spirit.
Most modern apostate and progressive do not grasp the reality of relenting to the HOLY Spirit, but instead yield to the spirit of their own flesh which is probably more inline with self righteousness. Watchman Nee said that the Holy Spirit is either inside poking out or outside poking in. Submission and obedience is more than likely the issue for most carnal Christians.
And it is a moment by moment struggle for most.
