In this Sunday talk from Clio, Daffern gives an overview of his passion for history and shares something of the influences of various historians on his own approach to historical scholarship. He starts with Herodotus and explains how history has always been about trying to understand and prevent he causes of war and violence. He explores the work of the University of London in peace scholarship and Prof Pollard who founded the Institute of Historical Research. He explains his own work as a historian and shares some of the details of his own PhD in Intellectual History and the ideas behind Transpersonal Historical research. he also shares something of his recent work on the Prolegomena to the History of 9/11, which is the first detailed historical study of the events of 9/11, and whose false narrative acted as a justification for the UK-USA capitalist war machine to invade Afghanistan, and then Iraq, unleashing chaos in the Middle East for a 20 year period of violence and lies. What would Herodotus say about all this? By using authentic historical studies we can find out the truth behind recent events and solve our current chaos through effective peace scholarship. Such is the faith of Clio in action..
