Imma give everyone here pro tips. Use hot water, rinse it through if your handle is flow through and rinse blade with hot water to melt glue to wipe off, use toothpicks with paper or qtips to clean pivot. Use mineral oil for lube, it's food safe and stupid cheap. Don't be fooled onto buying "knife cleaner" and "pivot lube".

Comparatively, I go the caveman route. Warm soapy water and toothbrush. Blow out water with my mouth and dry with corner of kitchen towel. And then a drop of oil into the pivot. And if there's a lot of sticky residue, I might start with an appropriate goop remover for that.

I recently started using an ultrasonic cleaner with plain distilled water 5 minutes and it looks as good as new

Pipe cleaner works great between scales and you can bend it to clean around the pivot

Step one: Blast with WD-40.

Step two: Air dry

If washers, run dry. Bearings drop of oil on each side of the pivot between the blade, and scales.

Use a q-tip to get between the scales it’s easier.

I chose to dip the Qtips in isopropyl alcohol and clean the inside knife
