I just picked up multiversus 3 days ago because I liked samurai Jack as a kid. I was scared to start a match at first because I thought I was gonna get my shit ran, but I was cooking with Jack, thinking about playing ranked soon

Uhh pugilist doesn't work on swords. I tested it we've all been running it on arya for so long but it just applies to actual punches and kicks you aren't getting much value aside from extra up special damage and neutral air special. Definitely not enough to use a perk slot on it. I reccomend parry reflect if you're not going to use the perk for it as Jack can get walled out kinda easy by mages and while not always useful when it is, its getting you in for full use of that snowball effect.

imo basic 5% signature perk is the best for him. Others are just situational and dont give you that much as 5% does
