Hello Dr. Stevenson! First off, thank you for taking your time for making these amazing and informational videos. As an incoming second year dental student I can personally say these have helped tremendously in lab! Secondly, do you have any tips on establishing the proper angulation of the burr, especially on occlusal preparations? I tend to have areas of divergencies on the buccal/lingual walls and believe the issue is maintaining a continual perpendicularity to the occlusal surface.. any advice would be humbly appreciated! You

I want to ask a question from you if you dont mind
Can we use carbide burs on natural tooth structure if we can manage no to go deep in dentin and maintain the proper 1.5 mm depth or we must use diamonds burs?
Do carbides cut as good as they cut on this plastic teeth on natural ename surface or not?

Thanks for this video!! I love the quality and detail. I was wondering though- why did you extend into the grooves rather than doing a slot prep? Are the grooves carious on this tooth, and would your prep design differ if you were restoring with composite? I'm asking to help prepare for the ADEX exam. Thanks again!

Hi thank you for the wonderful video.
for adex if i plan to do amalgam then i need to extend all the way to the distal or can i dovetail around the central pit? also when filling the prep you just made with amalgam, On the exam do we need to do anything to build that divot back to ideal (in the box area) or can we just go ahead and fill with amalgam? Thank you!
