Most of my time on DRG is spent playing my favourite boi: the engineer with the gunner/driller used occasionally, I rarely play scout as the highly mobile, hit and run style doesn’t really appeal to me but i have to admit the scout is very satisfying to do well with, you feel like dwarf Batman grappling around everywhere! The past few months I've been playing on a controller because I've been out of town and the WASD keys in my old gaming laptop would stick if I held the keys down too long. Forced me to play some scout builds that didn't require as much precision. My favorite build has been impact deflection DRAK jumbo shells boomstick to balance aoe and single target damage. Lots of fun, though now that I'm back on my main PC and playing higher haz levels again I'm tempted to swap out the shotgun overclock to one of the clean ones. Jumbo shells usually kills the bugs before they can spread any heat and ends up being less consistent on lighting a swarm on fire

I don't have many overclocks but have you tried the following:

Drak with thermal cooling
3, 2, 1, 3, 2

Crossbow with the specialist
2, 1, 1, 2, 1

With pheromone grenades.

Just incredibly flexible.

Crossbow is enough damage to one shot most swarmy mactera.

Anti armour drak opens up praetorians easily for Crossbow.

When you've got a crazy swarm you pheromone and then special explosive bolts to take out entire groups in one go.

It seems to work on most missions without much alteration required.

One awesome thing is the now buffed electric reload on gk assault rifle, its because you can just hit a normal grunt once, reload and they'll guaranteed die with just one bullet, although guards and slashers take a bit more if i remember right.

Nice builds. Another element to builds that would be nice are the perks. I know they can be whatever. But sometimes perks do make a difference to the playstyle.

Gaming existence and LazyMaybe did a video about the boomstick and double trigger always wins out against quickfire ejector because of the games animations and delays. So even with quickfire ejector saying you reload faster, you are still slower than double trigger to get your next shots off.

I recently started using Hipster M1K with 2/2/1/1/3 paired with crossbow with bodkin points with 3/1/2/2/2, and cryo grenades. I've been using it for a few weeks and I rarely ever get beaten in kills. It's amazing. Bodkin points is seriously OP. It's not that great against larger targets, but if go with 1/1/2/2/1 on the cross bow, pheromones will be amazing when you shoot a larger target with a pheromone bolt, then switch over to bodkin points, and just fire a couple bolts, it kills everything nearby. It's an amazing build. I've gotten well over double the amount of kills as engies and gunners running their strongest builds with this.

Nice video as always, but I would like to ask a question about builds. What in your opinion is a good gun to pair up with detonator/cyro minelets zhukovs, as I'm having a hard time picking between the 3 primaries, all are nice, it's that I have no idea which one I should really pick.
