The 2022 Kia EV6 sets a new benchmark in the burgeoning electric vehicle arena, covering off the fundamentals nicely while delivering an engaging and practical product for progressive new-car buyers.

It’s not cheap, with prices ranging from $68,000 to $83,000 plus on-road costs, but the new Kia EV6 packs a big battery and delivers economical energy consumption.

Kia says its new electric SUV can achieve a circa-500km range and our testing shows it will go close to those claims. It also has an advanced 800V electrical architecture, allowing for ultra-fast battery recharging times.

Boasting a high-tech cabin with easy-to-use controls, the Kia has loads of interior room and cargo space, and offers good levels of comfort too. The icing on the cake is unique-to-Australia suspension calibration – something no other rival can offer today.

Good review and good car. It is nice that you highlight one negative: Kia's stupid long delivery backlog. Delivering 500 in 2022 but orders already exceed 1500! That wait time may force buyers to other more alternate options.

Personally like this more than the Hyundai. That looks like a newer version of an Austin allegro….just saying.
