Don't let Dan fool you. He knows exactly how to get a hold of the A team. Better keep your comments respectful.

The call for "Trashbags!" has stuck in my mind for the last 40 years 🤣

My uncle was the foreman on the set building crew. All the interiors were built in the old C&R Clothing warehouse in Culver city. I visited the set once, I wrote my initials on a jail warehouse was also used for the interiors of Hardcastle & Mcormick

Years ago, I spoke with Mr. Benedict, at a sci-fi convention in Denver, about the Cylon scene. He said the director of that episode didn't think the reference would be funny and didn't see a need for it but was convinced to film it anyway.

The funniest part of the show was how a "wanted" team of war criminals stayed concealed while driving the coolest van around.

That Cylon scene made me love the show even more. So glad they filmed it.

Awesome video. The reason for the semi-gloss gray above the red stripe on the van was so it wouldn’t reflect the film crew on the side shots where the A-Team came out of the side door. They learned this while filming the pilot with an all-black and glossy van. Mr. T was a phenomenon in the 80s. He had a Saturday morning cartoon series and even a breakfast cereal. He worked with First Lady Nancy Reagan as an advocate for education and children’s welfare.

Dear Mr.Monroe,
I love it when a show comes together and your show nailed it with this one, good-going

In 1990, I took the Universal Studios tour in California. The tour guide, did point out the A-Team van, approximately 50 yds away from the tour tram driving by it. It was in a storage area, covered in dust. I remember remarking that the van was actually gray on the top and black on the bottom. I never knew what ever happened to that van since.
Thank you for the update, Dan.

A Knight Rider/A-Team crossover episode would have been cool.

Loved the show when it came out. Lots of explosions, guns, and no one really got hurt!
Also loved the Cylon cameo in the opening credits with Dirk Benedict!

The best part of the show (for me) was the banter between Murdock and B.A.

I really liked Peppard in Banacek. It's a shame that he refused a third season to prevent his X from receiving a larger settlement.

One of the funny things about the '80s was that there were two different shows featuring a madman by the name of Murdock. Both the A-Team and MacGyver had one. And both were high points of their specific series. You always know that MacGyver was going to get nuts when Murdock showed up, and Murdoc on A-Team could always be counted on to make for an entertaining scene.

Dwight Schultz, The somewhat weird Lt. Reginald Barclay from Star Trek.

Dwight Schultz also known as Barkley on Star Trek TNG. Great character!!

Surprised the Dukes of Hazzard wasn’t thrown into those 80’s shows. The A-team & Dukes of Hazzard were 2 of my 80’s faves.

Dan you forgot about either a car, truck but mostly an army jeep with a roll cage barrel rolling with a small explosion behind it in every episode.

One of the stupid things the villans always did was put them in a place where they could craft the weapons they needed for the big fight.

I started serving in the Air Force in January 1983. For several years following I never really got into network TV. I was aware of "The A-Team", but never really got into it at the time. I also missed out on "he Cosby Show", "Cheers" and other stuff like that.

I was more into movies as the base theater was right across the street AND I was listening to a LOT of music and building up my LP collection with my new disposable income.

I had started watching "The A-Team" in earnest when I retired from the Air Force, bought a home and began my post-military job in 2003/4. My Dad who lives close to us was a big "A-Team" fan and lent me his DVDs to watch which I did with my boys. Being years removed from the show's heyday must have done the trick, as I really enjoyed the show, its predictability and campiness. We especially had fun looking out for the inevitable car flip-over each episode.

I also loved that there was so much gun-play, but no one ever got shot. That's family TV for ya! Very "Six-Million Dollar Man".

Composer Mike Post also did the theme for "The Rockford Files" which as a 70s kid, I loved hearing the single played on the radio (1975 Billboard #10). Good car music!

In 2011, we hosted a German exchange student for 6 months who was a self-confessed A-Team fan, so he wound up going home with a complete set of DVDs as a gift.

My favorite "A-Team" actor is Dwight Schultz who had a cameo in the 2011 feature film. I also like him because of his voice work as one of the main characters, Chef "Mung Daal" in the Cartoon Network series "Chowder". Check him out in that. Very funny.

Mr. T is also a hoot. I was first introduced to him as "Clubber Lang" in spring of 1983 when I was in my Air Force technical training at Keesler AFB, Mississippi. We had rented a RCA SelectaVision VideoDisc player (remember those?) for our dorm's dayroom. One if the discs we rented was "Rocky III" which my dorm buddies and I watched several times over several days.

My first exposure to George Peppard was when I was a kid watching local St. Louis TV and the film "What's So bad About Feeling Good?" (1968) where he stars with Mary Tyler Moore and Dom DeLuise as members of a community of nihilistic beatniks in New York City. They encounter a wayward toucan (yes - A toucan dunned "Amigo") carrying a virus that changes their gloomy outlook to positivity and hilarity ensues.

Dirk Benedict I was already fondly familiar with as Starbuck from "Battlestar Galactica" and will always and forever remain Starbuck, though I enjoyed him as "Face" in "The A-Team".
