I worked at domino's for 20 years, as a driver but we still had to make pizzas, prep for store opening, take orders and man the oven. I live in the Philippines now and going to open a shop here...wish me good fortune!

Right now? a mobile pizza kitchen is the way to start. Those smaller woodfired ovens will never keep up with busy rush hours. We thought about that but decided to spend the cash for a larger commercial Breadstone oven on our trailer which can handle 4 pizzas at a time, Just make sure you have the dough and more importantly, dough management down perfectly. Also, have a good POS system with a KDS at the prep table.

I am young. 22 years old. Im still firguring out what i want to do. But one thing is for sure. Even tho i hate my job. I love my work. Im a manager at a papa johns. And making pizza and creating it is something i genuily enjoy no matter what type it is. I have worked in traditional pizza shop aswell and enjoy working there too

Another way to learn about the pizza business is to get a job at a pizzeria. Going to a pizza school would be a good option if you have the time and money to do so. Taking a part time job at ones pays you to learn the business. This way after working there awhile you might decide this isn't really for me. Everything looks cool from the outside in, actual work experience might change your opinion and direction.

I am trying to do the pizza pop up this year. I have been making pizza for friends and family for 3 years and I have finally honed my dough recipe to the point that I am satisfied. Do you have any advice on the equipment for storage and preparation / sanitization stuff? How do people typically haul it / setup? I would LOVE this information. I have a gozney dome that I can transport pretty easily already.

I have to say,
The 5 years that I busted out pies was the best 5 years of my working career. I was very fortunate that the gentleman that I worked for took the time to show me how to make pizzas . Im still making them today at home for my family and friends, they claim I missed my calling

My take on it too if you can buy an existing Pizzeria already right? In my small little area where I live in a 5-mile radius 15 to 20 places I can get a pizza from. To start from scratch would be really tough in a small market.

Is there a way to shape the dough and keep it overnight or even add the ingredients to it and save it so it is quick to pull out of the fridge and get it in the oven faster for busy nights at a restaurant?

We just took ownership of a pizza shop January 1st 2025. My question is how do we introduce gluten-free pizza crust. And I'm not talking celiac safe, just gluten-free pizza crust.
