First real ride. I dig it. This bike corners so well. The front end is planted. It makes me feel more confident on 2 wheels.

your clutch is your best friend, ride it like a 125 and turn your idle up a little bit. Rev it! You'd be suprised how far second gear goes

Idle it up a little bit. That’ll help with stalling and restarting. 🤓👍

Hey my friend.
I also just bought a 2022 yz250FX. If you’re coming off a 2T (like I am), try the free revving map. It feels like a 2T. It also has considerably less engine braking 👍🏼

I found that the harder I rode the bike the better the suspension worked. If you go too soft on the clickers, you can fall through the stroke a little and the bike feels harsher..unless you back off the rebound as well. Sometimes making the bike stiffer will allow you to ride more in the plush part of the stroke. Try going both ways and experiment.
Cheers

I have a 2021 250fx and it's not easy to stall, I don't have that problem at all, the only places where stalls sometimes is going on very steep downhills, because I haven't figured it out how much I have to pull the clutch, but this fx bikes don't stall so easy if you know how to cover the clutch. Mine is 100 percent stuck

That was fun to watch, awesome trail system and great riding. Love that there’s no music or cut scenes just good old, raw riding.👍

For the speeds you're in a much higher gear than you probably need to be/ you need to shift alot more. Going into turns in 3rd like that on a 250 is painful to watch. Having rode yz250s you need to bounce around from 2nd-4th alot to keep the bike smoother in the slow stuff. And clutch it more when braking <- aint a 2T.

I just picked one of these up last night. Coming from years and years of 250 two strokes.
We do the same kind of riding it seems. Any map suggestions?

Good riding bro! That’s lost valley, isn’t it? I love that place. Haven’t been there in a while

Rekluse would save valuable time? Maybe if you are lazy. Clutch control and you wouldn't have those issues, also do you know how to change gears? Watching you choking this bike in 3rd is painful. Shift down for god sake.

What 2 stroke are you coming from and do you find the 4 stroke not as tiring to ride?

A stronger battery helps a lot the one that comes with it sucks
