Finally got a good deal on a 2019 yz250FX a couple of weeks ago. Always was a European bike fan boy....KTM, Gas wow I missed out for a long time...Thanks for being one of the deciding factors to take the leap and get one in my garage. Guess there will be a KTM for sale pretty soon :-). Never felt so comfortable right out of the gate. Great videos...if you ever get close to Idaho, lets hit some trails. Thanks again. Be safe out

She's a keeper. Looks like a cool place to ride, I like the trees and bushes.

you edited out the best part... turning around on the peak of a steep mountain with 2 feet of room... thats the kind of things people are interested in and learn from even if it was a fumbling mess

I'm really liking the info graphics at bottom of screen. Can you do a vid on how you do it, equipment and edit?

see i bought my bike brand new in January 2018. I've spent a bunch of money of upgrades such as a 3.5 gallon tank over the 1.6 gallon tank, i've put new plastics on it, new levers, new shifter, hand guards, new bar mounts that my hand guards to mount to and a few other things. now it's only got 102 hours on it after 2.25 years which ain't much but still, i rather rebuild it when the time comes instead of buying a new one. If i ever did buy a newer one, i would take all of my upgraded parts off of it and use them on the new bike.

Even after a top end rebuild, your YZ has plenty of life in it. I keep buying different used bikes, so if I get bored with one bike the I will use another.

Bikes have peaked...buying a new one is just starting over but spending way more cash ...last time I bought a new bike was 2002...I sold that one and bought an 05 YZ 250 10 years later ...same bike except the frame...sold that bike and bought a 02 YZ 426 ... all of my bikes kept up with the brand new stuff...new bikes are a rich mans toy...real riders will take anything they can afford

Wait until 2022. Hopefully they refine this design a little bit to actually include a decent battery and a bit softer suspension.

lol, The new(at least new to you) bike bug hasn't bitten you

You'll know when it's time.

Right now it's spring, dirt bikes sell well above kbb prices.
Due to covid, bike demand is high, so used bikes sell even higher than

You could sell your bike 30% at least higher than Kelly blue book retail sales, but good luck finding another nice 250fx until later in the summer, lol In Salt Lake, used 250FXs are Unicorns,

I bought 4 KTMs last year during fall and winter(still slim pickings), I've sold 2, and will ride the 2 for a year or 2. The 2 remaining have stock suspension and need some tweaking, I use Race tech, 7k machine or Cory from Protune for valving info and parts, good fun!

I agree, a well setup bike that fits great is hard to sell, a good suspended bike is 4x as hard to sell.

I sure wish KTM replacement parts cost what yammy parts cost(sometimes half).

Keep shredding!!

How is the back(I probably missed a video about it)?

I think you would appreciate the newer yamaha chassi even more. They really improved a already good bike.

What do you think swapping bike would do for your channel? Maybe making it more interesting or maybe nothing special? It is a serious question Im not trying to be a wise ass.

It snowed again last night here in northern Nevada. :( It's 27°f right now, with 20mph wind. The snow will melt completely within a few hours, turning everything to 2" of sloppy mud as far as the eye can see. I'm soooo godamn tired of snow and mud. Sometimes I wish I lived further south, so I could ride in dry weather. Anyways, I dont think you need a new bike. The one you have is perfect for the riding you do. And a new one is waaay more expensive than what you already have. Making it a 290/310 WOULD be sick tho.

What is your weight and how did the stock suspension work for you?
I have heard a few people on different videos say the Yamaha was too stiff but they do not say how much they weigh!

I wonder if the new Yamahas will be restricted by the increasingly stringent emissions standards like the Euro bikes. That would make it even more of an advantage to keeping the older bike...says the guy still riding a 2000 KTM 200. ; )

Instead of a new bike, what about a FULL Rebuild of your current bike ?

Do you feel your fx was a big upgrade from your 250f? I have a 06 yz250f with low hours and it's been setup for trails with suspension work and a weighted flywheel and I'm wondering if I should upgrade to a fx.
