The inspiration behind this video:

While it was a group effort, essentially, Rocket saved his fellow Guardians of the Galaxy from being perpetually snuffed out of existence. Now, in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it's Rocket that needs saving. As revealed in the official synopsis for the James Gunn film, the cybernetically modified raccoon's life will be in danger as the threequel delves deep into his tragic past. Star-Lord and the rest of the team need to band together to rescue one of the reasons that most of them were able to return in Avengers: Endgame.

Rocket's tragic MCU backstory will be explored in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 — something that has become a gestating mystery in the sub-franchise. While the High Evolutionary is said to have personal ties to all members of the cosmic team, his expected connection to Rocket's sad history makes him a central character in the post-Avengers: Endgame story. Based on what's seen in promotional videos, it seems like he is well aware of the villain's motivations and plans, making him essential in their plan to take them down. The director has promised a highly emotional movie, and Rocket's personal arc will be the center of it.

I hope to see this in theaters. I had a blast with the last two and it looks like this one will be an epic and fitting send off for these beloved characters. What I love about the Guardians of the Galaxy movies is how much they give me Star Wars vibes and Peter Quill certainly does seem to be Marvel's own Han Solo. Honestly, I feel like this movie may be the closest thing we'll get to having a new Star Wars movie in theaters for a LONG time. Thank you, James Gunn, for making these Guardians of the Galaxy movies so awesome!

Man it’s so crazy to think that here we are, since 2008 when I graduated high school and watched the very first Iron Man. Fast forward 15 years, and I’ve never been so hopeful, and yet so grateful for a movie. I have a feeling this movie will be on the same level as end game, and of course with the last characters still alive from that era. Man it was such a fun run.. I’ve seen alll the movies since The avengers in 2012 in theatres, and always always always waited with excitement for the next one. And slowly as each year has gone by, there’s fewer and fewer “next ones”, and more and more characters dying. I know it’s just a movie, but I’m sad so see them go. I’m grateful I got to first hand experience the first phase, with all its wonder. Iron man, Thor, Spider-Man, Cap, bucky, dr strange, banner, Loki’, capt marvel…. Such a great time 💪🏽

Just watched it. Cried a lot. I don't like when animals die or get hurt, even if it is just a fiction. But other than that, I enjoyed the movie. It was fun. I hope there will be a GOTG vol 4 too.

Guardians of the galaxy was essential in setting up the thanos story arch. I hope they have another monumental pivot in mind with this release.

Guadian movies were also so balanced in how they incorporated Emotion, comedy, and nostalgia (soundtrack/score)

James Gunn has addressed if the guardians of the galaxy volume 3 will set up Kang’s future multiverse storyline in the MCU: volume 3 is about ending the story of the guardians, not setting up something else.
