One tactic used by manipulative people is sadistic kindness. At first, they are overly kind, then they take everything away from you and repeatedly remind you of their "nice" actions.

Well before anyone judges and assumes, there’s more to this and I’m sure Kenny explained but; nice people get taken advantage of and they want to please and take care of people and be appreciated for it. Nice people have certain motivators, be it god, karma, or the golden rule. Nice people are implosive too, can be passive aggressive.

So true. There is a word of difference between a nice person and a kind person. I spend as much of my time as I can in the kind lane.

Sometimes the nice person is also kind, when they ask for respecting the limits they mostly aren't taken seriously BECAUSE they r nice. THEN they become sadistic. How about that? U may feel punched because u didn't consider the limits.

Yep. And when one feels sadistic themselves, it’s time to do some boundaries work. Lol

I'm always suspicious of overly nice people because they aren't honest. They hide the truth behind their fake niceness.

They try...but it doesn't phase me. I know it was covert entitlement, narcassism, sadism, etc. They're just nice because they want something, instead of just being happy and loving at thier core.

That's not true, when it comes to a sincere nice person, they're hard to come by, you're speaking of people who play games, which isn't sincerely a nice person, you're contradicting oneself here. Nice people don't play the games you're speaking about, especially with a narcissist that thinks this way.

Check this out. I looked up the definition of the word "nice". I was surprised. The origin of the word, it's roots are in Old French and Latin. -Stupid. And -not know. Now isn't That interesting. If somebody acts too nice are they just making up for their own ignorance? Is being nice all an act? A very good behavior to notice when someone is being overly nice. So. What is the difference between kindness and niceness. It seems like being "nice" is done on purpose with an expectation. A form of manipulation. Is it realistic to be a 'nice" person all the time? Being a kind person sounds more temporary than someone who does nice things For other people. Something to surely ponder on. Being "a nice guy" is what was expected out of us from our parents and society. You don't hear "Be a kind guy". "Play nice", "Play kind"? You gotta listen closely to the words you were taught to repeat. You may have had a parent who expected you to be nice and get out of their face.

I'm nice, but I have my limit. People like to push us to the edge.

I call it the Suzie Creamcheese... if you know a person like that, you have to do it back... it's hilarious to watch how they squirm when they can't 'out-nice you' lol
