I have been a full time seller on ebay, amazon and walmart for over 20 years, Lots of companies are like Traxxas are picky using their names, in titles. They feel some people will get confused and think the similar reviewed products are theirs and lose sales from it. They are all protective of their brands and trademarks. its very common. in earlier days companies Bose JBL and a few others would not allow you to even list their names and model numbers in the titles and descriptions even if you was selling one of their actual products.

Fantastic! I've just ordered the HPX with 3 batteries! Been after something like this since I was a kid. Dabbled with a nitro Subaru (for a day) then a nitro monster truck (for a week). All too expensive, too much hassle, too time consuming.
This thing can come camping, to the beach, the skatepark!! All my chilling RC dreams in one package for little more than a hundred quid. Sounds too good to be true so hoping the saying doesn't become a reality🤞🏻

I bought my youngest daughter the HBX Rapture a few months back, it's the brushless version with full metal running gear, and it is simply awesome!! For its pricing and quality - bigger brand names should take note. As for mods all I've done is change the shock oil and also cleaned and added diff oils (5k to each), it's a crackin little RC! I just hope she doesn't twig how to raise the throttle limit on the Tx.. I've been searching for batteries of the same size as standard for it though, seems to be limited to a certain small-sized 2S. The two I've bought as extra batteries are a tad too big for the tray.

I have the original hbx 16889 and it’s a beast a few little screws finally got messed up after a good year and a half of solid play running through dirt and jumps and no maintenance at all

I had one of these and I found one major problem in the hyper go when ever you go in sand or dirt or any thing that can get in your gears it will I had a problem with the front and rear differentials on mine because sand will get in there and eat the gears

I’m wanting to buy a RC Car question is which one to buy? I’m willing to spend $200 -$300 on one just need a great recommendation. If these are cheap and durable hopefully the price range will be better??

the only thing i have broken on the HBX was one of the wheel screws, quick and cheap fix and it was back to bashing! can't wait for the Hyper Go to be more attainable in the U.S.

Thanks for having shown that evidence of Traxxas's bullying tactics.

Yes, a brushless Hyper Go would be cool! Doubly so if they ditch the GPS nonsense so to keep the price low.

I’m leaning towards the HBX since it’s brushless which would you recommend between these if going stock ?

I came here after watching a video on using Raspberry Pi's as remote controls for small robotic modules and thought what if ....so that's how i ended up here, I'd use them for ground versions of what I'd use a drone for. I'm also looking at amphibious craft, hovercraft? for crossing lakes and tarns. I want to bring something different to the Outdoor Bushcraft and Camping vibe. I could mount cheap 4k cams on them for great shots. Thanks this has given me great food for thought.

Damn, being as old as I am, I've completely neglected to consider how advancements in battery and brushless motor technology could and indeed have revolutionised rc monster trucks. I used to have one as a kid but it was a toys tore monster truck. Not the gas one. These would blow those old gas ones out the damn water! I would have killed for one of these as a kid. I recently started earning more. I'm going to get one again.

Where to get the right battery for the MJX Hyper Go? The package from Banggood seems to have only one, which is a weak point of the purchase.

Nice, I bought my son the hbx after seeing your review on it and we run it on 3s, it’s insane. When we bash his hbx and my maxx, the traxxas has more breakages.

Super tough little RC's - when we checked over the Hyper Go tot eh HBX they looked the same design, loads of fun for an adult and absolutely killer for a child

All great trucks! Managed to grab the HBX for an insane £81 before Christmas last year. Smooth transitions there!
