But recently i discovered that Imperator Rome is actually a hidden gem in terms of Paradox Games. Armed with unique mission trees and a supply system, today we play as Persia and see if we can awaken our inner Khosrow Anushirvan and carve out a Persian state in the region that will stand the test of time...

There actually is a country called Heraclea Pontica in the game, located in the northern part of modern day Turkey, near Istanbul. It's ruled by the last Achaemenid ruler of the game. It's really fun nation to play and try to bring Persia back - really hard, but fun.

Hey laith I’ve put a lot of hours into imperator Rome. The way you fix the “food” shortage is you used your influence in the province that need the food for a (trading) investment. Once it’s completed you can import food into the provinces:) rinse, and repeat :) good luck my friend

The Terra Indomita mod might pique your interest. It's based off of Invictus but extends the map to include more of Asia. The mission tree for uniting Japan as Yamato is pretty well fleshed-out for playing tall or wide. Alternatively, you could unite China as Zhou or Qin; might prove an interesting challenge. You could also become a Steppe Empire as the Xiongnu or do something wacky like migrating all the way to Malaysia as a Greek kingdom to form Golden Chersonese.

Or if you really don't care about your sanity, try starting as some one-pop, one-province island nation off of Korea, Taiwan, or the Philippines.

Last remnant? Atropatene is right there. The City-State of Heraclea Pontica also is the only remnant of the Achaemenid dynasty in game and there's an achievement for forming Persia as them.

Ps the four buttons below food and loyalty when you click on a city are the free Province investments you got, which can add trade routes and building slots without having to move pops so much
