CG Landscape Scenes - Blender

A CG environment study. I spent 5 months (working in my spare time) trying to create realistic CG environments in Blender and World Creator 3. I was heavily inspired by the amazing Aaron Westwood AKA Chromadojo.

Most assets were made by me, or bought assets.

All in 4K so make sure you watch in the highest resolution if you can!

Hey Maarten, another question please, and this is a pretty big and generic one, I know, but may I ask how do you manage rendering huge scenes with great amount of trees and foliage without having Blender crush? What is your magic as far as render settings and scene optimization? Thanks a lot!

It's amazing how you can squeeze such cinematic out of a Cycles render. I have always disliked this engine for its cartoonishness and difficulty in achieving realism.
Have you tried working with Unreal Engine 5? There you can not think about optimization and the picture is not much inferior (but real time). It is much more adapted to the environment than Blender.
