I remember when Linus himself said in a WAN show, that he was talking an Intel rep or something, and he said they said that things wouldn't look so great for 10th, and 11th wouldn't be any better. This was when 10th gen wasn't even announced and Linus and Luke were talking about Intel's issue with process nodes. This is why this doesn't surprise me at all lol

Dwarf Fortress requires the generation of a massive world which has hundreds of years of simulated history. (Different entities interacting with eachother). Its a heavily CPU bound game, due to this kind of generation, as well as pathing algorithms etc.

The game is still in active development and about to be released on steam with new graphics

That bit about the Europe pricing - unlike the stupid way that prices are listed in the US and Canada our prices already include tax, so the price on the tag is what you pay, not a cent more.

As someone who has been on Ryzen from the 2600 to the 5800X, I thought rocket lake might have been okay and intel was going to do something special with the pricing, as a case of “if the price is right”...then I saw the review and I was like “the only way intel is going to get something out of this is if AMD is still out of stock”

So if there’s only 19% at best IPC performance in 11th gen in some tasks VS 10th gen. Per core

If 11th gen only has 8 cores 16 threads at the top end then isn’t 10th gen still the better buy with 10cores 20 threads especially since the CPU and MOBO will be cheaper
