The most unrealistic part is not the time travel or the moon breaking up, but the military personnel taking the time out to compassionately expainling what's going on.

This scene is the most memorable to me because the implications of what's going on with the moon breaking up gives me creative inspiration like very little else can.

I just realised. Seat belt for any form of transport wasn’t invented yet at his time in 1910s. If only it was, then he wouldn’t go 800, 000 years into the future by accident.

If people are wondering why the massive crack happen was the moon was getting too close to Earth. Gravity was messing with the crust, causing massive geologically stress. Think of the tidal waves, all that is caused by the moon's gravity field to earth.

This is my favorite adaptation of the novella. It's the only one that adds depth and emotion it.

The fact that mankind would perform demolition on the moon in the first place. Yeah I can see that level of stupidity happening someday.

And you know what’s funny?………….NASA recently announced a new moon mission, to not only colonize the moon, but once established, to begin a mining operation for rare metals and minerals on it……..it’s 2024………their mission is set to begin somewhere around 2030. Which would give them 7 years on the moon……2037………

This movie is so brilliant in profundity, sentimental and emotionally sad yet hopeful. Almost as if it were some religious experience like meeting god.
