The Gospel of Judas is a Sethian text, not really a parody. Judas appears to be a Sethian, and I think the Orthodox Church really disliked the Sethians, so maybe this is why Judas is portrayed so badly.

I am not a religious person and look upon the Cain and Abel story with amusement. They were both seemingly hard working guys who brought the fruits of their efforts to God. Why would God accept Abel’s gift but spurn Cain’s? So unfair, imo. How would vegans interpret God’s preference for meat? 😂
