When a secular person says "There's a MASSIVE contradiction in Christian beliefs!", that's usually just another way of saying that they don't understand what Christians believe and don't know what the Bible teaches. Their understanding of the Bible is usually based on isolated, cherry-picked verses, not on the entire book.

RPL, your reponse was offered in love and wisdom. I appreciate the work you're doing! I was raised by 2 atheists, never stepped inside a church, and had no idea what Christians believed or what God was like. These types of pointed questions were akin to my own questions towards Christians about "their God, " but I never directly asked anyone; I just kept the questions to myself, always wondering and staying mistaken about everything. I was saved and baptized at age 40 and the mysteries of God and Christian beliefs became revealed to me over time. I can now see how ignorant and arrogant I was in my beliefs. I pray that we all respond with love and correct scripture to bring non-believers to Christ.

Is it just me . . . Or are these atheist questions so simple. Like, he made you. You being an atheist is your choice, which he allows you to have. Me praying for you is simply asking God who knows you best and therefore knows the things or people who could sway you or at least open your mind up enough to accept the possibility of him, to intervene. It will be your choice at the end of the day to accept or not accept.
The look on her face as if she has stumped someone, when this is the most basic of questions that could just be answered logically, with just a little bit of thinking. I commend the patience of appologists. But oh . . . How much more do I commend the mighty patience of God!
