“Turns Out Democracy Is Working!” Germany Tightens Controls At All Borders In Immigration Crackdown

Germany’s government has announced plans to impose tighter controls at all land borders to tackle irregular migration and protect the public from Islamist extremism.

The controls within what is normally a wide area of free movement - the European Schengen zone - will start on September 16 and initially last for six months.

Talk’s Julia Hartley-Brewer is joined by political theorist Ralph Schoellhammer, who says: "Look what's possible if voters start to shift away from your parties."

If UK decided to turn the boats around, or bring back migrants that came in small boats, you would see that France will also enforce their borders. The UK is too weak to enforce borders and as a result are suffering this mass migration problem. Brexit was suppose to have fixed this problem, but the elected governments didn't think mass migration needed fixing, and now you are in this mess, a country on the verge of default because of unchecked spending on the immigrants.

A democratic government that responds to the electorate. Not just pet minority groups.

Germany have a federal system with strong regional government, much harder to have a centralised authoritarian dictator like Starmer. They are protected by their constitution due to obvious historical antecedents.
