Is society ready for the challenge of an ageing population?

The Guardian's first Ageing Population Quarterly event brought together people across sectors and generations to discuss the challenges and opportunities involved in preparing for our changing demographic. Baroness Sally Greengross, chief executive of the International Longevity Centre, said the series has the potential to change attitudes and practices, enabling us to "prepare properly" for an ageing population.
