When my kids were in school in northwest Cobb, Kell High School was considered northern Cobb.

East Cobb resident since June 1971 (except for a few years away) We lived in the 98th home built in Indian Hills and I was in the first graduating class from Walton H.S. back in 1977. Back then there were box turtles in the woods by the hundreds as well as pileated woodpeckers, skunks, armadillos, and deer seen all the time. Many changes looking back. Still a great place to live! At age 62 your property tax decreases significantly because the school tax assessment is no longer paid. My property tax bill went form $2800/year to $452/year. It's a great place to retire as well! The best kept secret is the fairly new Mabry Park. Well, the cat is out of the bag now so enjoy it!

I live in East Cobb. She forgot to tell you. It's also not very diverse and all new homes cost over 1 million dollars. Hence the lack of diversity.
