Masoud Pezeshkian wins Iran presidential election

Former heart surgeon Masoud Pezeshkian will be the next President of Iran

He campaigned on a platform of reform – promoting rational foreign policy and de-escalation of tension over the country's controversial nuclear pact.

The snap election was called after the death of predecessor Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash.

One can only hope that this man will reform Iran. The people have had enough of strict Islam and the government of hate and war. Time for Iran to respect females, to respect other countries including Israel and to give the Iranian people the freedom they are demanding.
