When Mike became the youngest Heavyweight Champion of the world he did it in the most Spectacular way possible it was perfection!! When asked what Cus would have said to him he replied "He would say I made too many mistakes"! LOL

Wow thank you for all the likes much love to all boxing fans who appreciates the sweet science of boxing, specifically the "peekaboo style". Just to answer some questions:
On November 22 1986 Tyson won the WBC belt from Trevor Berbick to become the youngest Heavyweight Champion ever, at the age of 20.

Constantine "Cus" D'Amato died Nov 4 1985. During the post Berbick fight Tyson mentioned he dedicated this win to his trainer and father Cus D'Amato.

When Mike Tyson that stepped into the ring on Nov. 22nd 1986 he had a perfect 22-0 record. That man on that night I strongly believe could've beat any boxer that has ever put on gloves..

If cus lived another 5 years Mike probably would have gone unbeaten and beat Marciano’s record 49-0🥊

That style, so compact, was really intimidating.

That's a proud father talking and boasting about how awesome his son is.

Trainers mean so much. Imagine how long he might have reigned had Cus stayed around longer.

Cus had so much experience and wisdom in the boxing world. That he immediately knew that Tyson was going to be champion 🏆 so as long as Mike listened to every word of his trainer 🙏🏽💯

You can obviously see why Mike had such love and admiration for Cus. And you can understand TILL THIS VERY DAY, if he’s asked about Cus, he will choke up holding back tears. That was a serious and wonderful bond they had

If Cus would've lived and trained Mike 10 more years, Mike would've been the GOAT. No question about it. Cus tought him how to set his punches up. Mike was the best fighter inside the pocket. Specially under Cus
