We traded in our snowblower and winter boots for shorts and flip-flops! 🏖️🩴
We are 2 Canadians that sold everything and moved to Mexico on October 14th, 2021
We packed up 3 suitcases each with our then 12-year-old Maltese & hopped on a plane for Cancun. ✈️🏖️🩴

In this vlog, you can join us for breakfast, as we have just left the Petrified waterfalls. If you have missed that vlog, we encourage you to check it out, the link below. The sights we say today were pretty epic, just as epic as this meal we are about to enjoy. After we left here, Dave saw a guy making Mezcal on the side of the road when we were driving to the falls and had the great idea to stop in. Boy, are we glad we did, he was so friendly and happy to show us his operation; he was so proud, and I don't blame him, as he had lost to be proud of.
This family restaurant was very authentic, with mom doing the cooking and the kids helping in the back. This was for sure one of our favorite days here in Oaxaca, and we look forward to many more days like this. After we left here, we went to check out another family business, then the third-widest tree in the world. Those are coming up in the next few videos, chicos; be sure to check back often. Location of this town is below, guys. Be sure to stop in and tell them 2 Gringos sent you.

The story of the 400 Rabbits was funny... My first and only experience with Mezcal was with a brand called 400 Conejos. I had attended the Birthday celebration of a schoolteacher, where it started at a stone church at the base of the Volcano ( Popocatepl) actually it's part of the Monastery . After the church blessing, we went to the teachers home along with two of the Priests, one was from an order where he was called a Friar I believe... not sure of the spelling. Some people were drinking Tequila, but the Priests chose to sip on Mezcal with a slice of blood Orange and Chilli powder. I thought it was interesting, so I tried it with them. Unlike Tequila you are NOT supposed to take shots, but rather sip and have the fresh orange with it... More of a mellowing experience for sure. Just thought I would share that story with you, since you share so much with all of us... I also really loved how you said Provecho to the people having breakfast... it's also an Italian/German thing we noticed in Europe at many restaurants. so CHEERS to the next adventure!
