65 Quality of Life Improvements | Stardew Valley 1.5 Update Showcase | Balance Changes and Fixes

Some GREAT Quality of Life Improvements and Balance Changes have been added in Stardew Valley with the 1.5 Update. Much like I did with the last update, I'll be showcasing 65 changes you may or may not have noticed, or what you can look forward to.

There have been quite a few fixes as well, which weren't featured in this video. All around, a lot of fantastic things added, making me one happy witch.

The two things I am most excited for on this list are no long breaking sprinklers and the sort button not rearranging my tools.

I would always accidentally sort my inventory and would get frustrated when I had to move my tools back to the way I like them

I’d love to see a one time use tent that you could use if you weren’t going to make it back to the bed in time. Even if it gave a buff of maybe like only having 2/3 of your energy.

I just recently learned that you can put torches on fences.
Do with that as you will.

Barrels and crates in the mines now gives out other items such as mixed seeds, fire crystals and frozen tears.
All festivals now have gift shops.
You can get Robin to change your farmhouse or add new shortcuts in the backwoods and beach areas.
Once you befriend Leo and get him to six hearts, he shows up in festivals and can talk with him.
The packages on the beach farm gives out all kinds of items from mixed seeds to basic cooking supplies (oil, sugar, wheat flour) including coffee and espresso.
Ducks can swim on water!

The thing I was most happy about was Pierre getting the expanded stock so you can finally buy any seeds from any season. I still think it makes more sense to get this benefit once you unlock the greenhouse and after talking to Pierre you could maybe make a purchase order for particular seeds and it takes a week for them to arrive or something that would be great. Really enjoyed the new patch it was good fun :)

One of my favourite QoL improvements is how you can pet your farm animals now. Instead of having to individually select each one, or having to face each individual animal when using the action button with the cursor offscreen, on PC you can just hold down right click while running through your animals and they'll each get some attention when in reach, without automatically opening their info screen. So I can run around picking up truffles in the morning and petting my animals without mucking around, and it saves so much time! Also: moving the green house. Absolute game-changer. I'm going to realise my perfect farm in the near future. Lots of reworking to do but the possibilities are endless!
