Will new Hardcore Wow kill old HC Wow

Nice video friend. I started playing classic era last month and made a ton of progress. With the announcement of new servers it just feels like I'll have to restart and leave my characters behind...

I totally agree with you, its concerning especially given the recent boom on the current hardcore servers. What the community really wanted was a SERVER MERGE, which would've brought the hardcore player base together, not further rip them apart. anyways, thanks for your video! have a great day!

Sadly, what is most likely gonna happen is that when people die on their characters, either via leveling or doing end-game content, they will migrate to the new servers because what's the point of leveling another character to 60 on a dead server, when you have the option to chose a server that has a high pop with tons of people in the world. This means that the old servers will still have players, but over time it will be less and less as people die off.

Remember, Hardcore characters will always have an expiration date. Its not WOW, its a lets see how far can i get, kind of thing

I've been playing on and off since release. None of the stuff or the characters matter. It's the journey and the people you meet along the way that will have any long term significance to you. There is nothing like the feeling of a fresh realm where everything is yet to be found. Nothing is permanent but that is ok enjoy the ride. :)

Have two characters in the 50s and I already just stopped playing them and I’m just wait for the new HC servers, I just like fresh more, no world buffs, no gold on the server etc.

I think if you have been playing all this time just leveling, then you can continue. It has a major impact to active guilds that do end level content. You love leveling? You dont need a full server. Just stay, or begin a new journey with many others on a fresh server. :)

If these old servers gona stay on Vanilla and the new ones gona progess to The Burning Crusade, its fine.
I started playing Era few months ago, just hited 60, and boom FRESH announced! WTF? I don't want this shit, i dont want to start over again, most ppl don't have time for this.

Just dinged 60 on my 2nd character that's actually made it all the way. Pretty disappointed with fresh HC servers since the grind is so heavy, it's going to feel like starting over. I think the old servers will RIP but maybe I am wrong? Would be great to see Blizz do something to recognize the effort. Maybe allow transfers to the new servers after the raid lockout period ends? Then you'd have issues with people who are super geared though. Not a great solution to the problem I guess. Anyway, my 2 cents.

Fresh servers are 100% going to be more fun. Classic doesn't last forever. Once hype dies and people get done with the progression, the players drop off. The most fun in hardcore is playing alongside a bunch of other players who are in the same boat as you. If you level characters before and after the raids release, its a HUGE difference in your experience playing.

why do you care so much over a char that will die sooner or later ?
i mean you can do a better start now that you know the game in hc and with all the people starting fresh it will not feel like beeing apart or late from everyone else
and gold is pointless anyway with all the bots in hc
i've a 58 warrior, i'll go in the new hc and just let this char living it's long life in stormwind
