2021 Buick Envision Review: Nothing like your grandmother’s Buick!

We've finally gotten our hands on the totally-redesigned 2021 Buick Envision, now wider, lower and more athletic than the first generation. For this 2nd gen, the Envision gets a new front/rear fascia, a new single-engine option and a range of trim levels, starting around $33K. This Envision shares a platform with the Cadillac XT4, and comes available in Preferred, Essence or Avenir trims. The only engine available is a 2.0L inline 4-cylinder that pumps out 228hp...it’s peppy but don’t expect it to knock your socks off. This new SUV, which sits between the tiny Encore and larger three-row Enclave, comes standard this year with 18” wheels while larger, more aggressive 20” wheels are an option. FWD is standard, AWD is an option. Inside, the center stack is tilted toward the driver in a Saab-esque style that we LOVE!! The seats are comfy and there’s tons of visibility thanks to lots of glass. It’s packed with technology & safety features, like vibrating seats that alert you to traffic crossing your path while backing up! Is this 're-envisioning' the best Envision yet??

Nice job Buick. Sporty styling but you can see typical penny pinching by GM on the interior materials.

This 2021 Envision looks the part and smokes the Acura RDX in 30-50 mph, 50-70 mph and best the 60-0 mph stopping 15-feet shorter in Car & Driver testing. Such good price too down to $24K on autotrader!
