For years, the population at large has been quite clear on how it feels about many social issues. These feelings have been systematically ignored by Tories and Labour alike, but when the crowd gets vocal, it’s accused of displaying far-right criminality. If the government can’t see how instrumental it’s been in the collapse of civil society, and how aggrieved the electorate feels, it shouldn’t be in power.
