Atmosphere and Aesop Rock were there for the darkest times of my adult life. Through the big break up, the loss of my job and my home. You guys helped me stand back up, thank you.

I would have been happy with Ant and Slug just riding around on bikes on a sunny day.

All time favourite track !

This song helped me out a lot at the beginning of my recovery. It always reminds me of how terrible I would feel the next morning after heavy drinking. Hangovers, I don't miss them a bit. To think about how many days I lost recovering from the night before or plans, I screwed up letting down family and friends. Just for a night of temporary happiness to be led by dreadful days that led to depression and miserable recovery. Being able to wake up now feeling good, not worrying about where I left the car keys or wallet, wondering what the hell happened last night, or where I am, is terrific.

When you trapped in a cycle, dependent on alcohol or other substances, you forget what true happiness is. You stop doing activities you once enjoyed, or don't do as often because you're recovering or too worried about that next drink or use to make you feel better. You forget about the little things in life that matter and make every day worth getting up. There's more to life than a bottle and a bag.

It is not easy at first to reconnect with activities you once enjoyed doing, because we forget what they were. When you have to drink or get high to have fun, you forget how to live. It's kinda sad when you think about it, 'I need to alter my brain with substances to enjoy myself.' But we get to that point and don't even realize it. Its never too late, once you can catch yourself, you can change yourself.

Not only does this song remind me of the bad but also the good. It sings about that seriously who wants to be stuck in a bed all day when it's beautiful out. To get outside and take everything in that nature has to offer is a special kind of internal high. It sings about those little things in life that make us happy, " It fills you with good energy to get up, out, and have some fun. Spend a day sober means you'll wake up the next day energized, fresh, and ready to go all over again.

My favorite part of this song is,
Sometimes you have to give in and accept the fact what your doing is not working, and alcohol or drugs are the problems. Accept defeat, surrender, give in, so you can turn yourself around and take back that life you once had and deserve. Learn to enjoy yourself without the substances so you can love the days ahead in the

15 years listening to this song, and it never gets old. It somehow manages to reach a different place within me every time I listen to it. Priceless, ageless, timeless. I love you, Slug, and I love you, Ant. Thank you for helping me stay alive.

I'm listening to this while riding my bike for the first time since my hip surgery, after being locked up inside my house for 3 months of healing in the summer, and I have tears in my eyes!

I used to love this song as a teen, at 21 I sold my car to pay a debt, but now that I'm on my feet, I'm still biking everywhere and back, and still living this jam!

Man, this song gets me every time. I’m a recovering alcoholic (9 1/2 years sober today) & any time I’m struggling with my sobriety, this song comes on. It’s helped me out through some pretty crappy times.

Lyrics:
There ain't no way, to explain or say
How painful the hangover was today
In front of the toilet, hands and knees
Tryin' to breathe in-between the dry-heaves

My baby made me some coffee
Afraid that if I drink some
It's probably comin' right back out me
Couple of Advil, relax and chill

At a standstill with how bad I feel
I think I need to smell fresh air
So I stepped out the back door and fell down the stairs
The sunlight hit me dead in the eye like

It's mad that I gave half the day to last night
My bad sight made me trip on my ass right
Into that patch of grass like "That's life"
All of a sudden, I realized somethin'
The weather is amazin', even the birds are bumpin'

Stood up and took a look and a breath
And there's that bike that I forgot that I possessed
Never really seen exercise as friendly
But I think something's tellin' me to ride that 10 speed

The brakes are broken, that's alright
The tires got air and the chain seems tight, huh
Hopped on, and felt the summertime
It reminds me of one of them Musab lines
Like

Sunshine sunshine, it's fine
I feel it in my skin, warmin' up my mind
Sometimes you gotta give in, to win
I love the days when it shines
Whoa, let it shine

Sunshine sunshine, it's fine
I feel it in my skin, warmin' up my mind
Sometimes you gotta give in, to win
I love the days when it shines
Whoa, let it shine
Whoa, let it shine
Whoa, let it shine
Whoa, let it shine
Whoa let it

If I could I would keep this feelin' in a plastic jar
Bust it out whenever someone's actin' hard
Settle down, barbecue in the backyard
The kids get treats and old folks get classic cars

Everyday that gets to pass is a success
And every woman looks better in a sundress
The sunshine's an excuse to shoot hoops, get juice
Show improve them moves and let loose

I hear voices, I see smiles to match 'em
Good times, and you can feel it in the fashion
Even though the heat cooks up the action
The street's still got butterflies, enough kids to catch 'em

Ridin' my bike around these lakes, man
Feelin' like I finally figured out my escape plan
Take it all in the day, started off all wrong
But somehow now that hangover is all gone

Ain't nothin' like the sound of the leaves
When the breeze penetrates these Southside trees
Leanin' up against one, watchin' the vibe
Forgettin' all about the stress, thankin' God I'm alive

It's so simple, I had to keep the song simple
And when I get home, I'm gonna open all the windows
Feelin' alright, stopped at a stop-sign
A car pulled up, bumpin' Fresh Prince at Summertime

Summer summer, time
I feel it in my skin, warmin' up my mind
Sometimes you gotta give in, to win
I love the days when it shines
Whoa, let it shine

Sunshine, sunshine it's fine
I feel it in my skin, warmin' up my mind
Sometimes you gotta give in, to win
I love the days when it shines
Whoa, let it shine
Whoa, let it shine
Whoa, let it shine
Whoa, let it shine
Whoa let it

everybody had their own vision for how a video for this song would be but not one of those visions had a girl in a warehouse, so bravo to you and your creativity to think outside of the box that is already outside of a box.

Just saw you in Seattle.. I've battled addiction and depression my entire life. Your concert was one of the few things that have made me genuinely smile. Couple times in my life I've stood there and listened to the trees.. tripped me tf out. You're a great group. I met ant and I hope I get to meet you next time. Much love

Respect for this. Classic song. There ain't nothing wrong with the video, the ideia itself is pretty original... but after a decade, it's like I already had a totally different "video" in my mind and it was much more simple and relaxed than this. I couldn't ever imagine it like this in a studio. But that's the directors interpretation and the risks of making a video for a song so long after it's released... music has already painted pictures and videos in everyone minds, and sometimes its hard to beat that ;)
