One of the truly great talents. There was nothing in entertainment she couldn't do. She could sing, dance, act and had one of the most ebullient personalities on the screen. Also, one of the most beautiful women to ever grace the screen.

Heaven has gained another angel. When I was a kid, about 60yrs ago, we had a wind up gramaphone. One of the records (78rpm) was Doris singing "The Deadwood stage".
I played that over and over again. R.I.P Doris, but carry on singing.

Loved her musicals with Gotdon McCray and Gene Nelson. She was something else, someone special. I admire her work with animals. Her life wasn't all roses, but you never heard her complain.

I was 14 years old and very shy, mostly because I had freckles. I didn’t realize that I was blessed with so many beauty marks ! (LoL) ! Until I saw picture of Doris Day in a movie magazine.. She and her husband were dancing and Miss Doris was smiling her beautiful face alight with the sunshine of that beautiful smile ! She had on a off the shoulders peasants blouse, her back was covered in freckles !!! I was stunned !!! She sure wasn’t worried about freckles ! So from that time forward, I forgot about My freckles, and didn’t let them slow me down ! Thank Ms Doris Day, you unknowingly helped a young girl to understand we are all like the flowers in God’s Garden there aren’t any imperfect flowers 💐 just some have a little extra bling ! Rest peacefully, beautiful Lady !

Had myself a good long cry over this today...I played her music for my son the entire time he was in my belly. Grew up watching Pillow talk, Calamity Jane etc.... She was an icon. An inspiration. My life long role model. my heart aches today with this news..
