I love D.D. And all the actors in the back ground, I'm 62yrs old and was brought up watching all these classic films and actors. Now these were the days when films had a good story, no sex, no swearing, good movies that were classics.

I was born in 1948. We got our first t.v. set in 1956. It was a HUGE box that was a black and white. It was an RCA with tubes that always went bad. I would lay in front of that big box watching the musicals. I loved the musicals. Then I saw this blond lady singing a song, and immediately fell in love. I was eight years old. For decades I was totally in love with this lady. She was, ”MY GIRL”. I watched every show she was in. When I would see her kissing some actor or, ”other guy” I was pissed.

Decades passed. Then one day I wanted to see how old this blond bombshell in my heart was. I was immediately devastated. Doris Day was the same age as my mother. They are both gone now. Now, I can thank GOD for the memories those old movies bring back.

Rest In Peace to my mom and Doris Day. The name of my life’s partner of over thirty years, is DORIS. How lucky can I get.

How many out there, then and now, can sing, dance and act in both dramas and comedies? And did we forget, look great and live a meaningful and respectable long life? Loving everyone and loved by all too! Unmatched

I just heard she died today (13 May 2019) with 97 years. I pay my humble homage listening again and again this beautiful and unique rendition of a truly masterpiece song.

What an absolutely beautiful rendition of this song. I did not think this song could be any more meaningful and heartfelt than it already was but she added layers to it. And her beauty just shone through with every word. What a class act!
