It’s the opposite you are gunna see more paid creatures because it obviously is working and increasing sales. If anything it would hurt them not to continue to charge for creatures it’s basic economics

I went through the same frustration of having to patch through the 100gb and it was a pain when my pc’s boot drive was still an old SSD but I just transferred my pc to a new case and also upgraded my boot drive to an M.2 and the dowload/install time’s gone down to only +-10 min to complete the ark updates compared to 1-2hrs before that 😅

There's another 3-4 fantastic tames planned and another bobs tall tales type dlc plus a new paid map, and then probably all nekatus maps in a paid pack for official, so they've got plenty of opportunities to earn more money

1:35 Yeah I've got the same problem, just like many others do as well. I've also had the patching being stuck at 2% for like 15 minutes, which got me worried, but i found out that for some reason it just happens all the time... I even have the game on an NVMe, so write and read speeds are not the issue for me at least. Something's wrong with how this game's patches work, idk...

i have the same problem. 1% and then its stopped. I cleared out the cache and sometimes it work.

I fixed my patching issue by making sure to only have one Steam library enabled at patch time. When I had one on my Gen 5 SSD and one on my 6 TB HDD, Steam would copy Ark to the HDD, patch it very slowly, and then transfer it back to my SSD. This is apparently a Steam issue, although I have only ever seen it happen in Ark due to the way they patch things (they have all assets in one huge file, then they open it, rewrite it and save it.) unreal supports versioning patches where all that user has to do it download the new content contained in a nev versioned file for example assets.mpq and the patch would be called assets_0_1.mpq and unreal loads that on top.

TLDR Wildcard is weird with their patches and it confuses steam, making it copy the files to somewhere with the most free room, patching, and copy back. disable any extra steam library you have then patch.

That's absolut BS
Snailgame is an Asian company. Look what NC-Soft did with Blade and Soul and their other games. Snailgame will milking out of arkvas much as they can befor abandoning it.
Asian don't care for a steady moneyflow or returning customers. They want fast money. Not long and we might see RNG lootboxes or other things. And 25 or 26 most official Servers will be gone.

I haven't looked at shares outstanding for Snail Games, but it could be Snail buying back their shares to push the stock price up so they don't get delisted
