Two Diamond Back Rattle Snakes. It was mating season and a 1964 F-150 pick-up truck ran over them when it came around a Courbet on a back road in Oklahoma. There was still a foot and a half to two feet left. Was a little more careful when I went hunting in the woods. At least a rattle snake will usually rattle. Prey like rabbits will freeze when they hear it, making them easy pickings for the snakes. The that we really had to watch for were the copper heads they stayed motionless and blended in really well. As much time as we spent in the woods I’m surprised we never got bit. My grandfathers rule of thumb was keep one eye on where you were going and one where you were stepping! Lol

It keeps coming up for debate between which snake is bigger, the green anaconda or the reticulated python. Anacondas are the heaviest, but I don't know if they're longer than reticulated pythons.

I live in far north Queensland in Australia. We have scrub pythons here that reach over 5 metres long. I spend a lot of time in their habitat but very rarely see snakes. Never mind the Taipans, Death Adders and Eastern Brown snakes - which are all lethal snakes in their own right but much smaller. The rule of thumb has always been: never put your hands or feet anywhere you can't see them, and make plenty of noise and stomping - as all but the most aggressive and territorial individuals will move away from humans rather than towards them. That and I try to make sure my thighs down to my feet are somewhat protected (jeans, cargo pants, boots or gumboots). I never get over my fear of that one bight though. Always carry a phone with you and try to identify a snake if you do get bit. It might save your life. Most snake bite victims get bitten trying to catch or kill snakes. Peace!

I met a cobra 1 month ago, It didn't attack me and the snake is just calm crawling towards the grasses. I didn't kill it or something because its also helpful.

The biggest snake I've ever seen was a rattlesnake in Oklahoma. It's length was as wide as the road my husband and I came across. The next biggest snake was a cottonmouth on a creek not far from where we live here in rural Oklahoma close by where we saw the rattlesnake.

Care to document that 40' Anaconda's existence? At 1:52, your story about the 50', 1, 000lb python was illustrated with a photo of a West African Ball Python. This species barely grows to 5' in length. You should delete this video--and feel a little embarrassed...
