Pluto is such an underrated masterpiece. Bjork's growls are so awesome, intense, they might as well be the sound of rupturing and exploding land masses, while the repetition indicates a process: the destruction of your older self, of your past and mistakes, in order to give birth to an entirely new creature. But like the process of labor itself, it involves pain. The pain that crushes your mind and squeezes your heart, and derives you of your sanity. That's the meaning of her cry: it is the scream of a soul experiencing the emotional sacrifice required for its own renewal.

The first time I heard this song was when I was 9 years old and when I heard it then I knew this song was God-like perfection. Been a fan and admirer of hers ever since!

The only time I heard Bachelorette was 18 years ago − I was still a child −, yet I recognized the song from the very first notes. And I still remembered that chorus as if I had heard it yesterday. And I also remember the video clip of that song. And goddamnit how did I manage to overlook this artist for 18 whole years?! Well, the mistake is now repaired I guess. :o

It's incredible how this has both electronic and instrumental sounds yet it fits the work very good. A musical duality with two different things that give the artwork an ethereal, almost dream-like sound. Like something you will hear in a magical, both vintage and futuristic dreamy fantasy world. The pleasure of hearing this piece of art is unique when listening to it with headphones, too.
