The biggest issue with this video, is most of the referencing of the damage done to Eddie, is from that one specific comic. If they’d specified that, that would’ve been great

Venom told Eddie that he had cancer and faked it so that he could stay with him but when he actually did get cancer he dipped

What venom did is one of the most human things I’ve ever seen a character do. He did everything he could to spend more time with his dying friend. As someone who loved no one other than my dog (no, not even my family they are all assholes) I would have done anything to prevent her death even though we could see she was in pain

There’s a few comics that show straight up symbioses have human characteristics, I mean they rebelled against their creator after developing honor and feelings

I’m the comic shown venom only wanted his one true friend to stay with him forever, so he’d replace the neurons and organs and things like that as they started to die, to try and keep him healthy, but in the end it just turned Eddie into an empty husk of what he once was. Venom, realizing what he has done, finally lets his friend die in peace.

Even though that happened all he wanted was to keep Eddie alive but even so venom eventually saw that it was time to let Eddie go because Eddie was in pain so venom is a symbiot with human mindset and attachment issues

Venom really did care for Eddie in that comic but he was also selfish for wanting to keep him around even though he’s suffering and just wanted to rest

Venom loves Eddie, keeping him alive as long as he could, Eddie was suffering and venom didn't want him to die. It was a selfish choice but it came from love, friendship and brotherhood

Correct me if I'm wrong, and this is coming from someone who doesn't read the comics, but this is what it seems like to me:

Venom is a symbiote which google says must “bond with a respiratory host” to survive in an oxygen-rich environment like Earth. Based on this we know that Venom needs Eddie Brock to survive on Earth. By replacing his organs and more specifically neurons, Venom changed Eddie's memories to be alongside Venom during childhood as a best friend. By doing so, Venom secures a "bond with a respiratory host, " thus securing his survival as long as Eddie is alive.

Unfortunately for Venom, he just happened to pick a human who has quite the hectic life. It doesn't help that Venom has his own urges that pressure him and Eddie into doing stupid and illegal actions/activities. Due to these situations that the pair find themselves in, Venon must do his best to protect and work together with Eddie in order to also survive on Earth.

I have no idea if this sounds right, just my own train of thought. Basically it sounds like they need each other at this point.
