My MA Audio 800 watt class AB amp started getting hot cause summer finally got here so I installed a fan over my amp to keep it cool. These amps are known for getting hot. This is how you hook a fan up to your amp.

Mount it on a separate circuit. Having too many things get powered by your remote wire can break the deck (not 100% but it won't send out remote power any longer.) The Remote wire from your deck is only supposed to tell your amp to turn on and its not meant to carry a lot of power. You could however, use the remote to trigger a really that then sends 12v to both the Amp(s) remote input and to the fans positive (this is how i did it in my car).

@deejayblaze9 That makes it even better. Its just like an amp. you have a power ground and remote. Just splice um in with your amp

I do agree bro but I must say. Without this fan like it is I couldn't even touch my amp because it got so hot. After installing the fan I could lay my hand on top of it without a problem.

@floridaboys13 No you don't need a crossover. Try splicing your wires into your amp red = power black = ground white = remote. Try that and tell me if it works. :)

I have two fans hooked up to my audio system. The rear speakers started whining once I hooked them up wonder if you or anyone else might have an idea?? The positive is hooked up to my remote wire for the amp and the negative is hooked to the amps negative.

Its better to install the fans on the sides of the amp so there is air going on the botton middle and top
