Here's a topic you guys should touch on. Box rise.
Not sure if you guys have seen it but I have. It's when a sub in a box plays at higher ohm loads than what it's rated at. Sounds funky but it's true. Had some 15's that I had wired to 1 ohm, but when playing I was seeing a 4 ohm load when I clamped it, so I dropped them to .25 ohms and then I saw a 1 ohm load.
Now, it won't be like that at all frequencies. Some frequencies will play closer to rated impedance than others, so watch out.

Could be running a factory system with an additional sub. Some factory systems will bleed off the bass as the system is turned up to protect the speakers.

My amplifier has been doing this for 2 years and I finally found out what the problem was the problem was one of my door speakers on my 4-channel amplifier my Infinity Kappa which is supposed to be 2 ohms but when I checked it it was 1 ohm all that time with the speaker playing very good it was sometime going to 1 ohm at high volume

It's probably your impedance so check the way you have your wires connected to change the ohms to make it compatible with your amp. You can find a wiring diagram online

I have amplifier for my subs in my Chevy Silverado 2018 amp works but volume doesn’t go up or down. When I take the amp off the volume works like normal can you tell me why?

Question, so I never had any problem with my system within the past couple days with me. Turning my radio up my aunt will cut outs and and if I turn it down in a play with the base if I turn it up, it’ll cut in and out in and out with in seconds, continuously, so if I leave it at a higher volume or the normal volume that I normally play it at, he goes in and out in and out in and out in and out what does that mean?

Had the same issue, the sub was dual 2 ohms when I wired it to produce a 4 ohm load the amp stopped going into protection mode when the bass hits.

I have 2 Orion XTRPro102 10" DVC 2ohm subs that are 1000 watts per sub. They are connected to a Power Acoustik Razor 2500 watt 2ohm amplifier. The problem I'm having is when I turn the bass up, the amp cuts out, goes into protection and comes right back on within a second. As long as it's low volume, it functions fine. Any help on what could be happening?

Any suggestion I daisy chained the dual voice coil kicker l7s I bought a 2ohm 10” connected it to my sundown sia2500d and epicenter used a y split to add both left and right channel since the amp is one channel only and I don’t get the full potential I have a kenwood dmx47s budget radio in my Saab 9-3 2007 at around volume level 29 it turns off the amp, gain I’ve been adjusting off the sundown remote since if I even turn up a little on the epicenter knob it goes straight into protect /another scenario if I don’t use the epicenter knob only the sundown if I turn it past a little more than half way it starts clipping and turns off

I have 2 jl subs, connected to a kenwood x500-1. My amp cuts out when the bass hits. If i joggle the remote wire it turns back on and then cuts back off. It was working oeefect for one day and the next it started doing this. At first i messed with the lpf and it fixed it for a day, but now its doing the same thing. I changed the ground but the amp was blinking like it was in protect mode so i put it back on original ground. Still nothing
