When you seek asylum and Mexico offers you one but you turn it down and head for United States. That’s not asylum seeking

Didn't anyone else notice how easy and fast it was for Trump's wife's parents to get their citizenship? It takes most people years of waiting yet they got their without a hitch smfh.

The problems all started when we signed on to some U.N. Agreement on refugees and Asylum. What we now need to do is WITHDRAW from that agreement and go back to the way we used to handle these situations, which was through legislation on a case-by-case basis. Situations we handled that way include: (i) in the 1950s, Cubans who were fleeing communism, (ii) in the 1970s, South Vietnamese in danger of persecution following the Fall of Saigon. When it's done that way we have some CONTROL over it versus the current asylum system which is totally out of control.

Anyone crossing our Mexican border that is not from Mexico is not an asylum seeker. They are supposed to stop in the first safe country they come to……

there's a BIG difference between economic migrants who simply want a better economic life, and people in genuine danger from their home country. I understand our country's concerns. a woman fleeing spousal abuse should instead of coming to the united states, how about just leave the man and move to the other side of mexico?

The bad thing is that you help Latinos, and then you see them on vacation in the country they supposedly did not want to live😊

So whats the alternative? Move towards open borders? Ruining the host country's economy, culture, and quality of life? We have to be realistic about immigration. We can't save everyone, theres very good reasons why immigration should be strict. And theres very good reasons asylum policy should have clearly defined rules or else everyone and their grandmother would be open to seeking asylum

It is a lie that it is difficult to get political asylum. Look into it yourself. Over 2019-2022, dozens people, entire families, have PURCHASED HOMES in my neighborhood who do not speak English or respect our values. I’m literally surrounded by political asylees from Venezuela, Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Chile, Peru, Panama. So, no, it’s not hard for people to get political asylee status. And, it’s easy for them to purchase homes with FEDERAL CASH from taxpayers while American veterans and young families live in destitute circumstances. 🤬👎

If anyone here genuinely needs help and wants questions answered this is not the place, don’t waste your time, they just talk about politics.

start a US call center in Rwanda for black asylum seekers.
start a US call center in Mauritius for white asylum seekers.
Give them 5 years work permit and salary range of those countries, not US salary range.
so they can work and live peacefully and after 5 years they can figure out where to move or stay there if they like.
these people will feel SAFE and Secure too to work for US CALL CENTER which is in Rwanda and Mauritius. If i am a PM i would have done this. Hotel stay is waste of money and time and asylum seekers will have no clue on whats next.

When I see stories like these I'm afraid to seek asylum in the United States of America cause one I'm Jamaican I'm apart of LGBTQ + community and I fear what if my claims aren't seen as credible cause I want to go to US / Mexico boarder
